Sidenote: we (okay, I) picked the windiest day, ever, to shoot.  I had this grandiose plans to shoot closer to the water… but the wind was blowing everywhichway and taking a shot without hair in our eyes, mouth… needless to say, we moved.  And I’m really pleased with the result.

So, here are my faves from the session:

You probably remember Melissa and Ian from their late summer engagement session (here).  Well – their wedding was nothing short of spectacular, made just perfect by the extended September summer we were enjoying on the coast.  I met with the girls as they readied themselves at Melissa’s parent’s home, which was also the site of their engagement session.  The grounds – stunning.  But they didn’t hold a candle to the preparations happening inside.

Off to the church to get MARRIED!  The place was full to the brim with excited family and friends.

Okay, I just lovelovelove Ian’s reaction to seeing Melissa for the first time.  That smile?  Priceless.

After the ceremony and a break for lunch, I took the bridal part around town for some portraits.

I just had to play with the architectural details and lines… it made for such a striking backdrop.

Isn’t Melissa’s dress just to die for?  Ah-maze-ing.

And we headed back to her parent’s home for some more portraits (it bookended so nicely as the engagement photos were done in the same spot, as was the PROPOSAL!), and the group could freshen up before the reception.

And you just have to have a “back of the car” shot when you get escorted around in vintage vehicles!  Classic.

We continued with the portrait session at the beach, forest and later a stroll through the townsite.

The party continued at the Dwight Hall… the hall was filled with beautiful details about the couple, and infused with vintage charm.

Katelyn and Terence… thank you so much for letting me capture you and your friends throughout your amazing day.  I can’t wait to share the rest of the images with you!

Can I just say how lucky I am to have the clients I do?  I was so, so excited to photograph Katelyn and Terence’s wedding since meeting them for their engagement shoot last March… where they rocked it out in the rain.  They will do anything for rockin’ photos and they totally brought it for the big day.

I met up with Katelyn and her girls getting ready at the lovely Beyond Bliss Suites:

And then headed to the park for the ceremony.  Just gorgeous.

I got three hours (count ‘em!  THREE!) to spend with the couple and bridal party for photos.  It was a blast.  We started at some amazing privately-owned homes for the portraits:

I’d been so excited to capture Amy and Mike’s wedding since I sat across from Amy in Starbucks, a year previous to the day, and listened to her chat on about her mason-jar-vintage-amazing-loveliness plan and I was smitten.  And here we were, a year later, on an amazingly sunny day at the end of August when this lovely couple tied the knot.

Fun abounds.  I mean, this crew knows how to party.  The bride and gals got ready at her parent’s home:

And the ceremony was at a private residence across town.  Gorgeous doesn’t do it justice:

After the knot was tied, we ventured out for portraits.  First around the property:

Okay, so it was extremely difficult to narrow down, and I’ve been working on this post for over a week (hello, back to school!), but I hope that you all enjoyed the preview.
