It's a pretty special thing, being called to not only attend a wedding out of town, but to capture it for a family that I feel I've known forever (yes, my age is showing). This message came through last year, and I couldn't think of any answer other than a resounding yes (!) and I'm sure everyone that was involved in Krista and Piotr's wedding feels the same way. YES. There is a magic about them. A serenity, a calm; however, when you hear of their adventures, you're surprised. And that's the other cool thing... their adventures. Even as they're about to unite on the best adventure... they've already shared incredible experiences that forged their bond. It's not a surprise, either, that they selected such a natural, beautiful, rugged location to wed. Incredibly personal ceremony, amazing food, dad-made centrepieces, mom-made bridesmaid dresses, scrambling up waterfalls to capture amazing moments. Special, indeed. To Krista and Piotr and the most amazing adventure - a lifetime together. Location: Strathcona Park Lodge, Vancouver Island, BC Officiant: Barbara Densmore (Officiant) barbaradensmore.ca Flowers: Campbell River Hair: Carol Chapman, A Cut Above Design Group What can I say? This session was nothing short of amazing! Olivia was a total natural in front of the camera and I loved our townsite walk about... leave some love for her in the comments below. XO
Here is another beautiful, talented, graceful Grad - Rachel. She was a tour de force during her session and was no match for the INSANE wind! Leave her some love below... XO
It's hard to believe it's over already. I feel like our senior students spend the entire year thinking, talking, ideating, dreaming, (stressing!) and planning over one day, and it's here and gone. It's such a privilege to be able to shoot this amazing time in these young people's lives - Erinn is no exception. Leave her some love. XO
What a party. How lucky am I to have captured this amazing NYE wedding? From the beautiful, calm bride to the hilarious groom and the lovely friends and family, this was a party for the ages. Beyond that, it pushed me outside of my comfort zone with the lack of natural light, and I think that we captured some amazing images... all thanks to the brevity of Sydney and Torey and the -3 temperature outside. Needless to say, I think it was worth it! Without further ado... Sydney and Torey - thank you for the amazing evening and for having me document your day! Many wishes for the happiest life together. XO
